MAGNETS: THE ESSENTIAL BUILDING BLOCK
PERMANENT MAGNETS. SUSTAINABLE POWER.
Ndpr Magnets are at the heart of nearly every advanced electric innovation the world relies on daily—from electric vehicles and MRI machines to wind turbines and robotics.
How Do They Work?
Magnets generate energy and motion in the electric motors and generators that power our modern world. The higher the quality of the magnet, the more energy and torque a motor can produce, boosting overall performance and efficiency. This is what enables an electric vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under three seconds or allows a wind turbine to generate clean energy efficiently.
Midwest’s groundbreaking rare-earth magnets, EcoMag, are the strongest and most sustainably manufactured permanent magnets available on the market.
HOW PERMANENT MAGNETS ENHANCE MOTOR EFFICIENCY
High-performance applications require high-energy magnets to achieve maximum output. Our EcoMag magnets excel with superior properties, including enhanced temperature resistance, thermal stability, higher resistivity, and corrosion resistance. This translates into greater power, speed, and overall efficiency.
Power
Electric motors powered by permanent magnets deliver higher torque.
Reliability
With fewer components, permanent magnet motors are longer-lasting and highly reliable.
Durability
Built to handle demanding applications, these magnets enhance durability and performance.
Efficiency
Capable of converting over 90% of electrical energy input into mechanical output.
Size & Weight
Permanent magnet motors are more compact and simpler in design.
Precision & Control
They allow precise monitoring and control of speed, direction, and trajectory.
Control without compromise.
With our breakthrough innovations and dynamic manufacturing processes, we are introducing a superior next-generation magnet. Our approach also includes large-scale recycling of end-of-life magnetic materials, creating magnets that are not only more efficient but also more sustainable than those they replace.
Our high-performance EcoMag magnets redefine the potential of electric energy. Designed with sustainability in mind, they use less energy, fewer rare earth materials, and cause less harm to the environment. By optimizing the use of both virgin and recycled materials, we deliver magnets with higher magnetic flux, greater coercivity, improved resistivity, and enhanced thermal stability.

What are Rare Earth Elements?
Neodymium
elements
Rare earth elements are essential building blocks of the modern economy, driving trillions of dollars in global GDP through applications in clean energy, information technology, defense, and industry. Midwest currently produces about 5% of the rare earth content consumed annually. In 2023, we began manufacturing separated and refined rare earth products, with a focus on high-purity Neodymium-Praseodymium (NdPr) oxide—key to creating the world’s most efficient and strongest permanent magnets.
Rare earths are a group of chemical elements found in the earth’s crust, critical to many advanced technologies. However, they require extensive processing to separate them from mined ore. While these elements themselves are not rare, ore bodies with high enough concentrations for cost-effective processing are extremely scarce.
Their unique magnetic and electrochemical properties allow technologies to perform with greater efficiency, durability, and performance—often reducing weight, emissions, and energy consumption. Rare earth-enabled innovations power global economic growth, drive life-saving advancements, and help shrink our carbon footprint.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Traditional mining and magnet production are highly energy-intensive, environmentally destructive, and produce significant material waste. Midwest takes a completely different approach:
- Over 90% energy efficiency compared to conventional manufacturing
- 11-ton CO2 reduction per ton of magnets produced
We no longer have to accept the environmental burden of traditional mining and production. At Midwest, sustainability is at the core of what we do.
Clean Energy
Rare earth magnets make the turbine lighter, cheaper, more reliable, easier to maintain and capable of generating electricity at lower wind speeds.
NdFeB Magnets
The wind turbine market is anticipated to account for ~30% of the global growth in the use of rare earth magnets (2015-2025). Using rare earth metals prevents the use of a gearbox.
Automotive
In the automotive industry, powering electric motors, sensors, and safety systems. Our high-quality magnets enhance efficiency, durability, and performance in electric vehicles and key components like power steering and ABS, supporting innovation in energy-efficient and autonomous technologies.
